Brilliant, Calm, Composed: KL Rahul Is India's New Match Finisher

KL Rahul: The man who was once known to lay the foundation for big scores for Team India as opener, is surely now India's one of the best finishers. The way he has changed his batting style, and shown patience down the order, KL Rahul has become as spine of India's batting order.

The Kannada star played crucial innings against Australia in the semi-finals and New Zealand in the Champions Trophy finals 2025. Today, he scored important 34 runs off 33 balls laced with a boundary and a towering sixer.

After the match, KL Rahul said, "As confident as I could be that I could get over the line. Keeping composure is all that matters, happy to have done it this time. I've batted in times like this in three out of the five games. Hard to put in words, but the team has pure skill. The way we've all had to play cricket growing up, we faced pressure from the time we became professional cricketers. The BCCI have groomed all of them and we've challenging ourselves to get better."

KL Rahul's teammate Hardik Pandya also lauded him stating: "Brilliant, calm, composed, took his chances at the right times. I think this is what KL Rahul is. KL Rahul has immense talent, I don't think anyone can hit the ball like he can".
