In the semi-final match of the Vijay Hazare Trophy between Tamil Nadu and Haryana, cricketer Baba Indrajith showcased a perfect example of braveness and spirit to play for the team in every situation. Chasing the target of 294 set by Haryana, the Tamil Nadu team faced a hard time, and fans were confused by the absence of number 3 batsman Baba Indrajith at the SCA Stadium in Rajkot.

Before him, Baba Aparajith (7), N Jagadeesan (30), Hari Nishanth (1), and Vijay Shankar (23) made their way back early to the pavilion. But fans were stunned when Baba Indrajith walked in to bat with taps on his mouth. Nobody had any clue about why Aparajith had tapped his mouth.

According to the reports, during the inning break, the cricketer fell in the washroom and got a big cut on his lip. To stop the bleeding, team support staff gave him the first and advised him to see a doctor immediately. But the cricketer refused to go to hospital as he wanted to bat and rescue his side.

The 29-year-old young gun was not comfortable while playing that was visible. After playing only 10 balls, the batter called in physiotherapy, who changed his dressing on-field. The white dressing was removed, and padding was applied to Indrajith's upper lip before taping it down.

Although he could not avoid the defeat against Haryana, his valuable 64 runs showcased the will power, good intention, and spirit towards the game and team.

Was bleeding with a deep cut on the upper lip and the inside of the lip. Managed to bat somehow but was gutted to not cross the finish line for the team. Just went to the hospital and got my stitches down. Should be back soon. Thank you once again, " the cricketer said in a post on Instagram after the match.
