BGT 2024-25: Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma To Play Second Test Vs Australia?

Team India is all set to take on Australia in the second test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy starting from December 6, 2024. But ahead of the much-anticipated test, worrisome news has arrived for Indian fans. Ace batter Virat Kohli, who is known as the spine of India's batting order, was spotted with a bandage close to his left-leg knee. Virat Kohli's picture went viral on the internet in no time and created a buzz on the internet.

According to media reports, Virat Kohli received medical attention for a possible knee niggle.

Virat slammed a ton in the first test at Perth and if he misses out the second game, then team India may face some heat at Adelaide's Oval Cricket Stadium. However, Indian team management has not shared any update on Virat's purported injury.

Former Australian skipper Ricky Ponting has also praised Virat Kohli for his match-deciding knock. He said, "In the first innings, he was too focused on countering the opposition bowlers and deviated from his natural style. In the second innings, he rediscovered his rhythm and scored a hundred."

Virat Kohli ended one and a half-year century drought with unbeaten 100 at Perth. In last five years, Virat Kohli managed to score only 3 centuries.

On the other side, a small piece of good news also arrived for fans as regular skipper Rohit Sharma, who missed out the first game due to family reasons, is back and will surely be joining and leading the team. Reports suggested that Rohit Sharma may play at number 4 in the second test.
