If the rain god interrupted the play, then the situation will favour MS Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings as they have better NRR than Virat Kohli's RCB. Weather forecasts suggest 75% chances of precipitation on May 18 in Bengaluru, accompanied with thunderstorms and strong winds.

No! The BCCI has not kept any reserve day for any league match, which means both teams have to share one point each if the match gets abandoned due to weather conditions. This situation will benefit CSK, which will then have one point extra compared to RCB which will power them to qualify for the IPL playoffs 2024.
