BCCI Announces Rs 51 Crore Prize for Team India After Historic ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 Win

Following India's historic triumph in the ICC Women's ODI Cricket World Cup 2025, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a ₹51 crore cash reward for the Women in Blue.

The momentous win at Mumbai's DY Patil Stadium against South Africa brought an end to decades of heartbreak, including the near misses in the 2005 and 2017 finals.

BCCI Confirms ₹51 Crore Cash Prize for Players and Support Staff

BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia confirmed the monumental announcement and said, "BCCI has also announced a reward prize of ₹51 crores for the entire team, players, coaches, and support staff."

Shafali Verma shone as the Player of the Match for her explosive all-round performance with both bat and ball.

Deepti Sharma, who scored a vital half-century and took a five-wicket haul in the final, was named Player of the Tournament for her stellar all-round display.

She finished with 215 runs and 22 wickets throughout the competition, helping India beat South Africa convincingly in the title clash.
