Anil Kumble's Big Suggestion To Yashasvi Jaiswal

Former India captain Anil Kumble, who graced the game with his world-class leg-spin for decades, lauded Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal for scoring big runs. Jaiswal struck an unbeaten double hundred (214) in the Rajkot Test against England that powered India to register the biggest win in the history of test cricket by 434 runs.

Anil Kumble, who is well versed with the strengths of Jaiswal, suggested to continue bowling leg spin. Kumble told Yashasvi to be after captain Rohit and request him that you want to bowl a few over.

Anil Kumble has been monitoring Yahasvi Jaiswal for a long time as he was earlier heading the National Cricket Academy (NCA)- Indian cricket's official training center.

During a chat show on JioCinema, when Kumble congratulated Jaiswal for his scintillating performance, the latter said, "Well done on your batting. But one thing that I have seen which I want you to continue as well is that you have a natural leg spin."

"You have many strengths, and you never know when that will come in handy. know you've had a back spasm, but when you're working so much on it. Go tell the skipper to give a few overs.," Kumble to Jaiswal.

The left-hander also took tips from the senior seriously and replied that he is working on his bowling too and skipper Rohit Sharma has told him to be on standby as he can tell him to bowl anytime in the series.

"I'm always going and bowling, bowling and bowling. He (Rohit) told me to be ready, and I said yes I am ready," Jaiswal responded to Kumble.
