As the hurricane approached, Barbados imposed a curfew, and the team was confined to their hotels. The situation was dire, with water and electricity supplies affected.

Broadcaster Sanjana Ganesan shared a glimpse of the situation on Instagram, showing her husband, Jasprit Bumrah, gazing out at the turbulent ocean from their hotel window.

To ensure the team's safe return, BCCI arranged a special Air India flight, chartered by secretary Jay Shah. The flight, which can accommodate 70 people, was sent to Barbados to evacuate the team, their families, coaches, and members of the Indian media.

The flight is expected to land in Delhi on July 4, bringing home the Men In Blue along with the glorious Cup.
