Amid the divorce battle with estranged wife Hasin Jahan, Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami on Thursday met his daughter Aaira on the occasion of her birthday.

The father-daughter reunion has left his fans happy. Responding to the photo, a user wrote, "The father and his love for her daughter." Another user commented, "

The third user declared, "Shami is great father... great man.." However, many advised him to get the custody of his daughter as she currently stays with her mother Hasin Jahan. "Bhai aap apani beti ko apane paas hi," a netizen commented.

Marriage And Divorce Issue

Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami married Hasin Jahan in 2014, and the couple welcomed their daughter, Aaira, in 2015. However, their marriage fell apart in 2018 after Jahan accused Shami of domestic violence and infidelity. Since then, the two have been embroiled in a bitter divorce battle, with ongoing legal disputes over alimony and custody.

Two weeks ago, the Calcutta High Court ordered Shami to pay ₹4 lakh per month in maintenance-₹1.5 lakh for Jahan and ₹2.5 lakh for their daughter.

In an interview with ANI, Hasin Jahan revealed that she has no independent income. "I used to model and act before I got married. That was enough for me then. Shami forced me to quit my profession. He wanted me to live only a housewife's life. I loved Shami so much that I happily accepted it. But now I have no earnings of my own. Shami has to bear all the responsibility for our maintenance. That is why we had to approach the court when he denied this. Thank God there is a law in our country which orders people to bear their responsibilities," she told news agency.

She further expressed her anguish, stating, "If you are entering a relationship with someone, it is not written on their face that they have a poor character, are a criminal, or will play with your and your daughter's future. I too became a victim like this. God has forgiven the biggest criminals. He can not see the protection, future, and happiness of his daughter. He should also give up his stubbornness of wanting to ruin Hasir Jahan's life. He cannot destroy me because I am on the path of justice while he is on the path of injustice."
