Afg vs Ban: Rashid Khan, Naveen Ul Haq Star As Afghanistan Beat Bangladesh To Enter T20 World Cup 2024 Semis
What a match it was! Afghanistan vs Bangladesh was a real nail-biter as situation was changing on every ball at the Arnos Vale Ground, Kingstown, St Vincent. Afghanistan defeated Bangladesh by 8 runs, while defending a low total of 115. The thumping victory not just added 2 points to Afghanistan's kitty but also helped them qualify for the ICC T20 World Cup semi finals.
Rashid Khan and his team's journey at the world tournament is not less than any dream or magical story, where everything favoured them at the end despite hundreds of twists.

The victory was scripted by Rahmanullah Gurbaz who notched 43 runs of 55 balls. While Ibrahim Zadran and Rashid Khan played cameos of 18 and 19 runs.
Not just bat, Rashid Khan emerged hero with the ball too. He picked up 4 wickets for only 23 runs. Speedster Naveen Ul Haq also dismissed 4 Bangladeshi batters, allowing them only 26 runs in his 3.5 overs.
Fazalhaq Farooqi and Gulbadin Naib also removed one batter each.
On the other side, wicketkeeper and opener Litton Das was the lone warrior, who scored 54 runs off 49 balls studded with 5 rolling boundaries and a sixer. He went back unbeaten but failed to avoid the defeat.
Bangladesh's defeat also impacted Australia as they are now eliminated from the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.
Wow, Afghanistan. What an effort.
