Anushka and Virat shared the news of their son's arrival on social media, expressing,"With abundant happiness and our hearts full of love, we are pleased to inform everyone that on 15th February, we welcomed our baby boy Akaay, Vamika's little brother into this world! We seek your blessings and good wishes in this beautiful time in our lives. We request you to kindly respect our privacy at this time. Love and gratitude, Virat & Anushka." According to various reports, "Akaay" is a Hindi word with Turkish origins. In Sanskrit, "Akaay" signifies something that is without "kaay," which translates to form or body. The term is derived from "kaaya," which means body.

Akaay means someone that is without a body or form, devoid of shape and appearance, not embodying a physical form.

In a YouTube live session last month, cricketer AB de Villiers mistakenly revealed the pregnancy news, which he later retracted, acknowledging that it was not confirmed.
