Local organisations to take out rally against Naxals in C'garh
Raipur, Sep 16: In a first protest of its kind, several social groups and local organisations will tomorrow take out a massive 'Lalkar rally', against Naxals in Chhattisgarh's Bastar district.
The protest march, convened by Action Group for National Integrity (AGNI) - an organisation spearheading anti-Maoists protest in the region from past few months, will pass through prominent streets of Jagdalpur district headquarter before concluding at Gandhi Maidan.

"Bastar has been bearing the brunt of violence from over past three decades. Now people of the region particularly tribals want better roads, education and health facilities," Anand Mohan Mishra, National Convener of AGNI said.
"This rally aims to send a clear message to Naxals that Bastar wants peace, development and not violence," he said.
Representatives of as many as 64 social communities have given their consent to participate in the rally from all over the Bastar region. Besides, people of other local organisations and college and school students will also take part in the protest, Mishra claimed.
Following the rally, a gathering will also be held which will be addressed by representatives of different groups, he said.
