Who Is Pranjal Khewalkar? Eknath Khadse’s Son-in-Law Detained in Pune Rave Party Raid
In Pune, a rave party was disrupted by the Crime Branch police on Saturday night. Among those detained were four men and two women, including Dr. Pranjal Khewalkar, the son-in-law of senior Maharashtra politician Eknath Khadse. Initial reports suggest that cocaine and marijuana were consumed at the event. The incident is likely to stir political tensions once again.
Who Is Pranjal Khewalkar?
Dr. Pranjal Khewalkar is married to Rohini Khadse, daughter of Eknath Khadse and the president of the Nationalist Women's State Wing. Rohini, who is actively involved in politics, married Pranjal after separating from her first husband. The couple currently lives in Muktainagar with their family.

Pranjal Khewalkar's Business Ventures
Pranjal Khewalkar is a businessman with interests in real estate, event management, and also owns companies in the sugar and energy sectors. Additionally, he runs a travel company under his name. Despite his wife's active political career, Pranjal is known to maintain a distance from politics.
The rave party arrest has once again brought attention to Pranjal's background and previous controversies, particularly involving a luxury Sonata Limousine car.
Limousine Car Controversy
In a past incident, social activist Anjali Damania accused Pranjal Khewalkar of registering a Sonata Limousine under the Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) category at the Jalgaon RTO, which she claimed was illegal. Damania argued that only Ambassador Limousines are legally permitted in India and demanded that the car be seized.
Following the raid, Pune Police also searched Rohini Khadse's bungalow in Hadapsar. Senior officers conducted a thorough investigation of the premises. After being caught red-handed at the party, Pranjal Khewalkar was taken for a medical examination at Sassoon Hospital before being brought back to his residence.
