Pune Woman Washes Her Eyes With Urine | Viral Video
A viral Instagram video featuring Nupur Pittie from Pune has sparked widespread attention. In the clip, she demonstrates an unusual eye-care practice: washing her eyes with urine. This unconventional method has left many internet users shocked and concerned.
Pittie, who identifies as a "medicine-free life coach," advocates for holistic healing approaches. In her video titled "Urine Eye Wash - Nature's Own Medicine," she explains her routine of using fresh morning midstream urine to alleviate eye issues like redness and dryness.

The video quickly gained traction, amassing over 1.5 lakh views within a day of being posted on Tuesday. However, it also attracted significant criticism from both medical professionals and the general public.
Medical Community's Reaction
Dr. Cyriac Abby Philips, known as "TheLiverDoc" on social media, shared the video on X (formerly Twitter) to caution viewers. He stated bluntly, "Please do not put your urine into your eyes. Urine is not sterile." Dr. Philips expressed his dismay at the trend, describing it as "depressing and terrifying."
He further addressed Pittie directly on Instagram, advising her to seek help and warning against using social media for gaining followers through such practices.
Public Response and Concerns
The online community echoed these concerns, with one user exclaiming in disbelief, "God forbid what did I just witness." Another highlighted potential health risks by noting that urine is a waste product that could contain bacteria or be acidic.
This viral incident has reignited discussions about natural health trends on the internet. While some advocate for personal freedom in medical practices, health experts caution against unsafe self-treatment methods.
The debate continues as people weigh the benefits of natural remedies against potential health hazards. It's crucial to approach such trends with skepticism and consult professionals before trying unconventional treatments.
