Ketan Agarwal Murder Case: Siya Goyal's Father Suffers Heart Attack, Mother Says 'Hang Her If Guilty'

The investigation into the alleged murder of Pune businessman Ketan Agarwal has taken an emotional turn after the father of prime accused Siya Goyal suffered a heart attack and was admitted to hospital. As police continue to probe the case, Siya's parents have publicly spoken about the tragedy, rejecting speculation surrounding their daughter's relationship with Ketan while expressing grief over his death.

Father Rejects Claims Of Lavish Wedding Preparations

Speaking from the hospital, Pravin Goyal dismissed reports claiming that an extravagant destination wedding for Siya and Ketan was being planned in Udaipur. He said there had been no aircraft booking or lavish arrangements, adding, "There was no aircraft booking. The entire wedding, including hotel bookings in Udaipur, would have cost Rs 3-5 crore," dismissing speculation surrounding the couple's wedding. Pravin also said Ketan's death had left the family shattered because they had accepted him as one of their own. "What happened is a very tragic event. We still can't believe it. They've lost their son, and their son was ours too. We loved him so much. I had grown so attached to him that it felt like he was our own son," he said, adding, "We lost such a loving, promising and good boy. We are deeply saddened by that. There is nothing more tragic than this. We had so many good dreams for the future."

Siya Was Happy About The Marriage, Says Father

Pravin Goyal also rejected suggestions that his daughter was unhappy with the marriage proposal. According to him, Siya had always appeared excited about her future with Ketan and never expressed any reluctance. He said the family would have stepped in had they been informed of any problems earlier. "Ever since the match was finalised, she was always happy. She always talked about Ketan. If they (Ketan's parents) had even slightly informed us that something was going wrong, we would have spoken to them," he said.

Mother Says Daughter Should Be Punished If Guilty

Siya's mother, Pooja Goyal, made an equally strong statement, saying she would support the harshest legal action if the allegations against her daughter are proven in court. Stressing that justice should prevail regardless of family ties, she said, "If she is guilty, then she should receive the strictest punishment. Hang her if she is guilty; a mother is saying this." Her remarks have attracted significant attention as the investigation continues.

Police Continue Murder Investigation

The case relates to the death of Ketan Agarwal, who allegedly died after being pushed off a cliff at Lohagad Fort near Pune on June 18. Investigators have accused Siya Goyal and her alleged lover, Chetan Chaudhary, of conspiring to murder him. Both accused are currently in police custody while Pune Rural Police continue collecting evidence and examining the circumstances that led to the businessman's death.
