Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Dhami Receives Grand Welcome In Rudrapur, Launches Major Development Projects
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami arrived at Gandhi Park in Rudrapur on Monday, following a grand roadshow from Galla Mandi to the main market. The people of Rudrapur, along with various organisations and representatives, warmly welcomed him with flower showers and garlands. At Gandhi Park, he observed a grand multipurpose and medical camp themed on public service, marking three years of government service, good governance, and development.
The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone and inaugurated various development projects worth approximately ₹40 crore. This included the foundation stone for seven projects worth around ₹30 crore and the inauguration of seven projects valued at ₹10 crore. During the event, he handed over shop keys to 15 poor street vendors in the vending zone.

Development Initiatives and Public Welfare
To celebrate three years of service, good governance, and development, nine public service campaign vehicles were flagged off for nine assemblies in the district. These vehicles will disseminate information about government schemes until 30 March 2025. The Chief Minister inspected stalls at the multipurpose camp and churned curd to make butter, appreciating the stalls' efforts.
Inaugurating the Rudrapur vending zone and Hans Sports Academy, he tried his hand at badminton. He paid tribute to martyrs and activists who sacrificed for Uttarakhand's establishment. He emphasised working towards fulfilling their dreams for Uttarakhand's progress.
Infrastructure and Economic Growth
The Chief Minister highlighted efforts to connect remote villages with roads while enhancing air connectivity through helicopter services under the "Udaan Yojana." Education, health, drinking water, sports infrastructure have been strengthened across the state. Over 30 new policies have been implemented in sectors like industry, tourism, AYUSH, and food processing to boost development and create jobs.
Home Stay Scheme, Lakhpati Didi Scheme, Solar Self-Employment Scheme are promoting self-employment. Efforts are underway to improve lives by building houses for poor families, distributing free ration annually providing three gas cylinders per year increasing old-age pensions offering pensions to both spouses.

Agricultural Support and Employment Opportunities
The government is committed to farmers' prosperity through schemes like PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi benefiting over 8 lakh farmers financially. Increased MSP ensures higher income for farmers cultivating major crops. Dairy production honey production agriculture horticulture aromatic plant cultivation millet farming are being promoted.
Farmers receive interest-free loans up to ₹3 lakh free canal irrigation 80% subsidy on farm machinery purchases under Farm Machinery Bank Scheme. The Chief Minister addressed issues faced by displaced people from Bangladesh residing in Udham Singh Nagar district ensuring no discrimination against them.
Cultural Preservation and Legal Reforms
Bengali families settled on Nazul land received ownership rights enabling them to build permanent homes without worry. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's guidance historic Global Investors Summit G-20 meetings 38th National Games were organised proving Uttarakhand's capabilities.
The state achieved first place in NITI Aayog's Sustainable Development Goals Index 2023-24 reduced unemployment rate by a record 4.4% surpassing national average increased per capita income by 11.33%. Cultural values demography are preserved through anti-conversion anti-riot laws strict actions against hate ideologies.

Social Justice and Infrastructure Projects
The Uniform Civil Code was implemented granting equal rights especially benefiting Muslim women from oppression. Anti-cheating law eradicated exam malpractices dismantled cheating mafias over three years providing transparent government jobs to over 20 thousand youths proving government's commitment.
Women received 30% horizontal reservation state activists got 10% reservation previously ignored due political interests. Medical college construction is underway in Rudrapur AIIMS Rishikesh satellite centre is progressing in Kichha costing ₹351 crore on 100 acres land.
Transportation Enhancements
Helicopter services started from Haldwani connecting multiple cities international airport being developed at Pantnagar bypass constructions completed include Gadarpur costing ₹170 crore Khatima costing ₹95 crore Rudrapur costing ₹1152 crore bus stations built in Khatima Kichha sports facilities developed hosting successful national games events recently.
Aqua park is being built for fish farmers in Sitarganj smart industrial town developing in Khurpya creating employment opportunities not only for Udham Singh Nagar but entire Uttarakhand thousands will benefit from this industrial town establishment.
Tourism Boosts Through Ropeway Projects
A ropeway project from Govindghat to Hemkund Sahib approved costing approximately ₹2700 crore included among nine jewels of development by Prime Minister Modi increasing pilgrim numbers reducing trek time from 19 km hike to just 45 minutes via ropeway construction continues until Uttarakhand leads every sector self-reliance achieved peace remains elusive.

The Chief Minister inaugurated projects including Gaushala construction costing ₹494.89 lakh Bigwara cremation ground renovation costing ₹60.11 lakh vegetable market renovation within municipal limits costing ₹49.72 lakh five green parks beautification costing ₹39.89 lakh four high-tech toilets construction costing ₹165.09 lakh district-level development authority office building construction within collectorate premises costing ₹1801.93 lakh Kichha new bus station entrance bridge construction costing ₹317.90 lakh vending zone construction costing ₹601.49 lakh waste plant construction costing ₹171.23 lakh transit camp street light installation costing ₹34.15 lakh ABC centre work costing ₹43.87 lakh FSTP centre work costing ₹171.83 lakh command centre cleanliness app municipal corporation zonal office inauguration within Rudrapur municipal corporation office premises included among these initiatives.
