Third Law & Constitution Dialogue 2024: Landmark Event Addressing India’s Legal, Constitutional Issues
Marking 75 years of the Indian Constitution, the Third Law & Constitution Dialogue 2024 brought together India's leading legal minds, lawmakers, and thought leaders for an extensive discourse on critical legal and constitutional matters.

Distinguished Guests and Keynote Sessions
Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal graced the event, emphasising the significance of the Constitution and the visionary concept of "One Nation, One Election." Meghwal also highlighted the origins of Constitution Day, initiated in 2015 to honor Dr. B.R. Ambedkar's contributions to India's democracy.
Justice Surya Kant, Hon'ble Judge of the Supreme Court, delivered the keynote address, elaborating on the 2018 Amendment to the Specific Relief Act, 1963. He highlighted its economic and legal implications in bolstering India's position as a global economic leader.

The day-long event featured 22 sessions, each dissecting critical legal and constitutional questions. From exploring the complexities of the Places of Worship Act, 1991, to discussing "Bulldozer Justice," the Dialogue provided a comprehensive platform for diverse perspectives.
Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul addressed the Kashmiri Pandit genocide, advocating for acknowledgment and healing. Meanwhile, Kapil Sibal called for global protection of minorities, spotlighting the plight of Hindu minorities in Bangladesh.
Panels on the Women's Reservation Bill and the implications of AI on governance provided a forward-looking perspective, while sessions on simultaneous elections and delimitation examined the evolving political landscape.
