The International School Bangalore Celebrates 25th Anniversary And Class Of 2026 Graduation Ceremony

The International School Bangalore celebrated their 25th Anniversary Year and the Graduation Ceremony of the Class of 2026 in the presence of their esteemed Chief Guest, Shri Thaawarchand Gehlot ji, Hon'ble Governor of Karnataka.

The Class of 2026 has distinguished themselves with over 843 outstanding university placements from 228 universities across 15 countries in prestigious institutions such as Harvard, MIT, Stanford, Caltech, University of Pennsylvania, Cambridge and Columbia and more, reflecting the school's strong culture of academic excellence, global ambition and student leadership.

Since 2000, TISB has seen over 2000 students graduate from its fold with college placements across United States, United Kingdom, India, Canada, Europe, Singapore, Korea, Australia, Hong Kong, and other countries. They have the distinction of having earned close to 200 million USD in scholarships and grants.

Among the dignitaries present to celebrate the proud milestone were Members of the Board of Governors, Chairman and Founder, Dr. K.P. Gopalkrishna, Dean, Dr. Santhamma Gopalkrishna, Vice Chairperson and Director, Dr. Bindu Hari, CEO, Mr. Hari Krishnan, TISB Principal, Mrs. Kate Reynolds, the NPS and NAFL school leadership, TISB faculty, parents and students.

Addressing the graduating students, the Hon'ble Governor, Shri Thaawarchand Gehlot, said, "The future belongs to young people who are adaptable, innovative, ethical, and courageous in thought and action. Wherever life takes you, may the values of respect, acceptance, equality, collaboration, camaraderie, and ethical conduct remain your guiding principles." He encouraged students to embrace technology wisely, think independently, solve problems creatively and lead with integrity and compassion.

Reflecting on TISB's journey and its educational vision, Dr. K. P. Gopalkrishna, Founder and Chairman, The International School Bangalore, said, "Education must prepare students for academic excellence, character-building, leadership and complex problem solving approaches. In TISB's 25th Anniversary Year, we were honoured to have the Hon'ble Governor felicitate the Class of 2026 and encourage them to carry the values and global educational standards of their school out into the world."

A significant moment of the evening was the release of Journey of a Visionary: Legacy of an Educationist, a book that pays tribute to the life and inspiring work of Dr. K. P. Gopalkrishna, from 1959, when he set up the first NPS school at Rajajinagar, Bengaluru. The book celebrates Dr Gopalkrishna's drive, vision and legacy of excellence through the TISB, NPS, NAFL group of schools and the transformative power of education.

The evening was a celebration of achievement, gratitude and legacy, while also recognising a visionary educationist who has shaped among the finest group of schools in India and Singapore.
