Sai Kaustuv Dasgupta Receives Prestigious Award Of Prominent Bengalis From Karnataka by Governor

To commemorate West Bengal Foundation Day, the Honorable Governor of Karnataka, His Excellency, Shri. Thaawar Chand Gehlot ji collaborated with Team Maitree Bandhaan of Bengaluru and organized an event at Rajbhavan where prominent Bengali personalities of Karnataka were honored by His Excellency.

After the Kannada community, Bengalis are the most in number, having around 7 lacs of people in Karnataka. Among them, His Excellency recognized 6 Prominent Bengalis and a group to honor them for their excellent work in various fields. Dr. Sai Kaustuv Dasgupta, the Wheelchair Warrior of India, Global Motivational Speaker, and India's first Disabled certified happiness coach is one of the honorary awardees.

Being 90% differently-abled and having a rare Brittle Bone Disease, Dr. Sai Kaustuv Dasgupta is motivating millions through his positivity and smile. Despite a brittle bone disease, he did not let his career be fragile. He is bringing positive awareness to transform India into a wheelchair-friendly country and trying to empower the differently-abled community of Karnataka through his motivational sessions.

The other distinguished Bengali's who got felicitated by His Excellency were Shri. Subrata Haldar - Industrialist & Recipient of Germany's Highest Civilian Award, Shri. Subhashish Chakraborty - Founder & Managing Director of DTDC., Shri. S K Mukherjee - Founder of SKM Pharma Pvt Ltd, Smt. Aindrita Ray - Actress in Kannada and Bengali movies, Dr. Arindam Ghosh - Scientist at IISc, and Team BARSHA - Bengalis Socio Culture Organization.

The event commenced with a cultural performance by Achin Pakhi Folk band, Raindrops-Children's band, a dance by Urja Centre of Performing Arts, and concluded with a sumptuous lunch with His Excellency. The whole event was successfully presided over by Team Maitree Bandhaan, a famous platform that organizes all Social & Cultural events throughout the year and unites all Bengalis in Namma Bengaluru.
