Nitish Kumar Approves 188 Development Projects Worth ₹20,000 Crore in North Bihar
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has approved a total of 188 development projects worth ₹20,000 crore in North Bihar as part of his "Pragati Yatra". Out of these, 121 projects were sanctioned by the Cabinet, while 67 projects received approval at the departmental level.
Providing details, Dr. S. Siddharth, Additional Chief Secretary of the Cabinet Secretariat Department, stated that 39 agenda items related to the Pragati Yatra had been approved in previous Cabinet meetings. In today's Cabinet session, 82 additional projects received approval, bringing the total to 121 sanctioned projects under the Pragati Yatra announcements.

Department-Wise Allocation of Sanctioned Projects:
- Urban Development & Housing Department - ₹495.12 crore for 5 projects
- Rural Works Department - ₹64.69 crore for 2 projects
- Tourism Department - ₹344.01 crore for 7 projects
- Energy Department - ₹663.61 crore for 4 projects
- Water Resources Department - ₹3,645.67 crore for 12 projects
- Health Department - ₹862.34 crore for 2 projects
- Education Department - ₹56.8 crore for 1 project
- Cabinet Secretariat Department - ₹42.37 crore for 1 project
- Sports Department - ₹153.89 crore for 3 projects
- Road Construction Department - ₹6,577.38 crore for 42 projects
- Industries Department - ₹236.25 crore for 1 project
- Prohibition, Excise & Registration Department - 1 project approved
- Revenue & Land Reforms Department - 1 project approved
In the previous Cabinet meeting, 39 projects had already received approval.
