The Chief Guest, Shri Rajiv Agrawal, Chairman, CSIDC, in his address, stated that Chhattisgarh is rapidly transforming and has entered a new phase of development. Under the state's investment policy, several attractive facilities and incentives have been introduced to encourage new investments. He emphasized that the state offers immense opportunities in sectors such as minerals, forest-based industries, AYUSH, agro-based industries, IT, food processing, automobiles, defence, and others. He further mentioned that the government is committed to the sustainable development of various industrial sectors.
He highlighted that Chhattisgarh is strategically located at the center of India, with excellent road, rail, and air connectivity to almost all major states, resulting in lower logistics costs. To enhance Ease of Doing Business (EoDB), all approvals are available online through a single-window system. Land, power, and labor costs in the state are comparatively lower than many other states. Shri Agrawal invited Rajasthan entrepreneurs to consider Chhattisgarh as a strong option for their new investments.
During the program, he also interacted with members of PHDCCI Rajasthan, office bearers of industrial associations, and leading industrialists. He stressed the state's strategic location and strong road, rail, and power infrastructure, which provide significant advantages to investors.
Shri Vishvesh Kumar, IFS, Managing Director, CSIDC, delivered a detailed presentation on the Chhattisgarh Industrial Development Policy 2024-30. He elaborated on industry-focused reforms and investment incentives aimed at promoting ease of doing business, sustainable industrialization, and infrastructure-driven growth. The presentation highlighted new incentive schemes to attract investments in key sectors such as electronics, automobile and engineering, food processing, hospitality, IT, semiconductor, defence, tourism, pharma, healthcare, and logistics. He also addressed queries from the entrepreneurs.
Dr. Arun Agrawal, Executive President, Forti, speaking as a special guest, appreciated the Chamber's efforts and remarked that Chhattisgarh is rapidly emerging as a preferred investment destination. He stated that the Chhattisgarh Industrial Development Policy 2024-30 will certainly benefit entrepreneurs and, with strong government support, a peaceful industrial environment, abundant natural resources, and seamless connectivity, will provide new dimensions to the state's industrial growth. He urged entrepreneurs to explore Chhattisgarh as a strong investment option. While thanking the delegation, he requested Shri Rajiv Agrawal to consider initiating regular air connectivity between Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan to facilitate convenience for migrant Rajasthanis residing in the state and to further encourage investment.
Shri Vikram Baid, Senior Vice President, Plastic Manufacturers Association of Rajasthan, also spoke as a special guest and stated that if adequate infrastructure facilities are provided to plastic sector entrepreneurs, they would certainly be attracted to invest in Chhattisgarh.
