Celebrating Creativity: Winners Of All India Civil Services Music, Dance, and Drama Competition Shine In Patna
The 'All India Civil Services Music, Dance and Short Drama Competition 2024-25' concluded today in Patna. Organised by the Bihar Secretariat Sports Foundation with guidance from the Central Civil Services Cultural and Sports Board, the event took place at Urja Auditorium. The closing ceremony began with Ganesh Vandana, featuring a captivating Kathak performance by Rahul Kumar that set a devotional tone.
During the competition's final day, winners were announced across various categories. In the Child Actor Short Drama Competition, Shashi Bala from Team Central Secretariat, Delhi secured first place. Snehlata from Team Haryana Secretariat came second, while Aditya Sa Desai from Team Maharashtra Secretariat took third place.

Dance and Drama Competitions
The Classical Dance Competition saw Reji Anoop from Central Secretariat claim first place. Rashmi Choudhary of Bihar Secretariat earned second place, and V. Lakshmi from RSB Hyderabad took third. Ravi Kumar from Bihar Secretariat won the Western Dance Competition, followed by Golden Kumar of Central Secretariat in second place and Smitha GS of Karnataka Secretariat in third.
In Folk Dance (Solo), Aishwarya Darshan from RSB Kochi emerged victorious. Ravi Kumar of Haryana Secretariat secured second place, while Neha Jain from GNCT Delhi achieved third. The Folk Dance (Group) Competition was won by Karnataka Secretariat, with Gujarat and Maharashtra Secretariats taking second and third places respectively.
Instrumental and Vocal Performances
Suyog Ruikar from Team Maharashtra Secretariat triumphed in the Hindustani Classical Instrumental Competition. Chandrasingh B. Vihol of Gujarat Secretariat came second, while Ravindra Malagi of Karnataka Secretariat secured third place. In Carnatic Classical Instrumental Music, Karthik Bharadwaj M.S. of Karnataka claimed first prize.
Kumar Krishnamurthy from RSB Mumbai earned second place in Carnatic Classical Instrumental Music, followed by Aarti Pawale of Chhattisgarh Secretariat in third. Kishore Kumar H.S., representing Karnataka Secretariat, won the Carnatic Classical Vocal Competition with his soulful performance.
Acknowledgements and Reflections
Shri Rahul Kumar expressed pride in Bihar hosting this event after 22 years. He praised the organising committee's dedication to its success and noted that 159 medals would be awarded among 570 participants. Mr Pranav Kumar acknowledged the talent displayed despite participants being government servants.

Dr S. Siddharth congratulated all participants for their skill and talent shown during the competition. He extended special congratulations to those who won awards and assured them that Bihar would always welcome them warmly as hosts.

The event featured competitions in four disciplines: classical dance with 11 participants; folk dance solo with 17 performers; western dance involving 14 contestants; and folk dance group with 15 teams representing different states across India.
The Best Drama Competition awarded first place to "Univaanchi Goshtha" by Team RSB Mumbai for its outstanding performance. "Mahatma Bam" by Gujarat Secretariat secured second position due to excellent acting and direction skills.
"Kahani Khatam Kahan Hui" by Central Secretariat Delhi was awarded third position for its engaging narrative style within this category's competitive field.
