Bihar Gears Up For Khelo India Youth Games 2025; High-Level Meeting Reviews Preparations

The Bihar government is leaving no stone unturned to ensure the successful hosting of the Khelo India Youth Games 2025, marking the state's debut as a host for the prestigious national sporting event. A crucial review meeting was held today at the Bipard Gaya Auditorium, chaired by Additional Chief Secretary of the Sports Department, Mr. B. Rajender, to assess and streamline preparations.

Senior officials, including Magadh Division Commissioner Dr. Safina A.N., Deputy Development Commissioner, City Police Superintendent, Municipal Commissioner, and other district-level officers, attended the meeting to discuss logistics, security, and operational plans.

A Matter of Pride for Bihar

Addressing the officials, Mr. Rajender stated, "Hosting the Khelo India Youth Games for the first time in Bihar is a historic moment and a testament to the state's growing prominence in sports. We are committed to providing world-class facilities for athletes, support staff, and spectators."

Key Focus Areas

The discussions centered on athlete accommodations, food quality, transportation, security, and traffic management. The District Transport Officer was instructed to ensure sufficient vehicles for athletes and set up dedicated help desks for their convenience.

To maintain high standards, the Additional Chief Secretary directed strict monitoring of food hygiene and a fixed catering menu for participants. Meanwhile, the City Police Superintendent was tasked with finalizing spectator entry points, parking zones, and security checks to ensure smooth crowd management.

Boosting Bihar's Sports Legacy

Mr. Rajender emphasized that the event would elevate Bihar's reputation as a sports-friendly state and put Gaya on the national map. The district administration has been directed to run extensive awareness campaigns to promote the games and encourage public participation.
