Bihar: All India Civil Services Music And Dance Competition 2024-25 Begins With Vibrant Cultural Programme

Under the auspices of the Bihar Secretariat Sports Foundation and under the guidance of the Central Civil Services Cultural and Sports Board, Government of India, the All India Paramilitary Services Music, Dance, and Short Drama Competition 2024-25 commenced grandly today.

The event was inaugurated at 5:30 PM at the Urja Auditorium, Rajvanshi Nagar, Patna, in the presence of the Chief Secretary of Bihar, Mr. Amritlal Meena, as the Chief Guest.

The event was also graced by the Development Commissioner of Bihar, Mr. Pratyay Amrit, along with Mr. Pranav Kumar, Chairman-cum-Secretary of the Organising Committee and Secretary of the Department of Art, Culture, and Youth, and Mr. Rahul Kumar, Special Secretary of the Finance Department and Secretary of the Organising Committee. The distinguished guests were welcomed with floral bouquets.

Following this, participants from various states carried out a march past, showcasing a tableau of their cultural heritage. Each team took turns displaying their artistic talents on stage.

The team from Bhubaneswar was the first to present their tableau, followed by Chhattisgarh, Central Secretariat, and then Delhi-NCR. In a similar manner, teams from different states sequentially took the stage, greeting the esteemed guests and audience.

At 6:30 PM, the cultural evening began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp inside the auditorium. After a book launch, the guests shared their thoughts.

Speaking as the Guest of Honour, Bihar's Development Commissioner Mr. Pratyay Amrit addressed the participants and audience, expressing his pride in their presence from various states.

He remarked, "Bihar is the only state where offerings are made to both the rising and the setting sun. When you return to your respective states, you should carry fond memories of Bihar. In a way, you all will act as brand ambassadors of Bihar, taking its positive image to different parts of the country."

Addressing the gathering, the Chairman-cum-Secretary of the Organising Committee and Secretary of the Department of Art, Culture, and Youth, Mr. Pranav Kumar, extended a warm welcome to all, stating, "It is a matter of pride that you have taken time to play a significant role in the field of art and culture. Your enthusiasm is truly commendable, reflecting the level of preparation you have put into this competition. The Bihar government is honoured to welcome you, and we encourage you to participate wholeheartedly. A heartfelt welcome and gratitude to all of you."

Following this, teams from Mumbai, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Gujara captivated the audience with their traditional folk dance performances.
