Shivanand Tiwari on JD(U), Congress tie up in Bihar
Patna, Nov 15: Fuelling speculations that Congress may not be keen for a tie up with JD(U) in Bihar before the general elections, JD(U) general secretary Shivanand Tiwari on Friday said there must be love for each other to take any relationship forward.
"There has to be love from both sides to take any relationship forward," he told reporters in reply to a question about possibility of an electoral tie up between Congress and JD(U) in Bihar for the next general elections.
Asked as to how keen JD(U) was to work out a pre-poll tie up with Congress in Bihar ahead of the next general elections, Tiwari said he was not the right person to offer any comment on the issue.
"It's for JD(U) leadership to decide on the tie up with the Congress," he said in reply to persistent questioning by the reporters.
Speculation has been rife in political circles in Bihar that JD(U) may cobble up a pre-poll alliance with Congress in Bihar after parting ways with BJP, its longstanding ally in June this year over elevation of Narendra Modi in the party.
