Rs 50 lakh looted from UCO Bank in Bihar

Two robbers riding on a motorcycle intercepted the UCO Bank's van near its branch office and shot dead the guard Ranjit Kumar before looting the box containing the cash, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Harishankar Kumar said.
The robbers sped away with the cash on their motorcycle.

The injured guard has been admitted to a private nursing home for treatment, Kumar said.
A UCO Bank employee and the guard had brought the cash from main branch in Begusarai town for use at local branch at Chhaurahi, the DSP said.
