The incident took place on Atal Path near Srikrishna Puri locality. The black Scorpio rammed through police barricades at the checkpoint, hitting the officers. Law and Order Concerns

The event has sparked criticism from opposition leaders regarding Bihar's law and order situation. Purnia MP Pappu Yadav criticised the increasing criminalisation of politics in Bihar. He stated that society itself is responsible for crime by voting criminals into power during elections.

Yadav expressed his views: "Society itself does not want crime to end. When the public votes for criminals during elections, then crime is bound to happen. Bihar cannot function without crime or the mafia-no caste or political party can survive without the mafia."

Political Reactions

RJD leader Mrityunjay Tiwari also commented on the incident, questioning what is happening in Patna. He highlighted that even uniformed police officers are no longer safe, indicating a reign of crime taking over Bihar.

"While the police were conducting vehicle checks in Patna, a car ran over the officers," Tiwari said. "A woman police personnel has died. What is happening in Patna? The driver is still absconding."

The two passengers who were with Nikhil in the vehicle were detained at the scene by authorities. This incident has raised concerns about public safety and accountability within Bihar's governance system.

Senior Patna Police official Awkash Kumar provided details of the accident: "Three security personnel posted with Srikrishna Puri police station were checking vehicles on Atal Path when another speeding car hit it from behind, resulting in injuries to three personnel."
