Narendra Modi is still in pre-poll phase, mocks CPI(M)'s Sitaram Yechury

, saying he is still in the pre-election phase and ignored the country's development.

Yechury, a Rajya Sabha MP said the prime minister's party was focussing more on issues like Hindutva, love jihad and telecasting the speech of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Doordarshan, the state television channel.

He said Modi's government was concentrating little on development and it looked Modi was still trying to woo people as if elections are due.

Yechury said the communist parties were planning to launch a nationwide campaign between December 8 and 14 to lead mass movements from various parts of the country.

The CPI(M) won just nine seats in the 2014 Lok Sabha election with 3.3 per cent of vote-share.
