Mild tremors felt in parts of Bihar and Jharkhand

Patna, Dec 15: Mild tremors were felt in parts of Bihar and Jharkhand on Tuesday morning.

Mild tremors were felt in Gaya and Jamui areas of Bihar and Deoghar and Dhanbad of Jharkhand.

The tremors felt were of 4.2 magnitude. People rushed out of their houses after experiencing the tremors in Jharkhand at around 8 am, according to reports. The tremors lasted for a few seconds There was no report of any loss to life or property so far.

Bihar earlier this year witnessed severe damage when a powerful earthquake rocked Nepal. Ever since the state and its neighbouring states have been witnessing mild tremors from time to time.
