4 shot dead in Bihar for refusing to share fish
Patna, Dec 15: Four people were shot dead in Bihar allegedly by a group of people belonging to upper caste for refusing to share the fish caught by them, police said on Monday.
The shooting took place late Sunday when the four people, belonging to poorest of the poor Bind caste, were busy catching fish in a water body near Aiyara village in Patna district, a police officer said.

"They were killed by a group of armed upper caste people after they refused to share fish caught by them from a water body, which is in the government land," the police officer said.
Angry over the killing, hundreds of people Monday blocked roads and demanded arrest of the accused.
All those killed were supporters of the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist), which enjoys support of Dalits and backward castes in its stronghold Paliganj.
Patna Senior Superintendent of Police Jitendra Rana said a case was lodged against seven people on the basis of statement of an injured man.
Rana said police have raided several places to arrest the alleged killers and top officials of the district administration were camping at the incident site.
