Widowed Mother Seeks Support To Save Her Only Son’s Life!
Imagine your childhood devoid of chocolates, chips and other sweet treats. Or never feeling the rush of wind against your face as you run after your friends. Imagine wanting to go to school, doing well and making a life for yourself and your widowed mother, only for you to lose your eyesight due to a rare disorder.
While just the thought of living such a life fills you with dread, this has been 18-year-old Kishore's life since he was born. Diagnosed with a rare illness called Wiskott-Aldrich Syndrome, just 9 months after his birth, Kishore's life had changed before he even said his first words.
However, his mother Vishalakshi was reliving a nightmare, she had already been through before.
"The day I first held my newborn, I never wanted to let go. But I didn't know that just 3 years later, I would hold him for the last time. We lost him to the same dreadful illness. The pain of losing a child is unbearable. When the doctors told us that Kishore too had the same condition, we couldn't believe it. Our world fell apart!" says the poor mother.

Kishore's family started his treatment as soon as possible but it did little to improve his health. Overtime, his condition kept worsening. In 2015, when his white blood cell count reached too low, he suffered a vitreous hemorrhage.
In the following months, Kishore's health deteriorate at a rapid and alarming pace. He had skin allergy and rashes which forced him to spend his days and nights in utter pain.
But the nightmare struck this family when he lost his vision a few months ago.
"Life as I knew it changed. I was shattered. After we lost my father, I had promised my mother that I would study well and ensure my mother had a good life. But my life changed because of this illness. Today, the darkness in front of my eyes is seeping into my life. I just want to get better and build a bright future, for my mother. We are all each other has," cries Kishore, helpless from the suffering of this disease..
Today, Vishalakshi works as a teacher and tries her best to keep up with Kishore's medicines and further treatments. But to completely get better, Kishore needs a bone marrow transplant worth lakhs- an amount that his poor mother cannot afford.
To help her child get treatment and live the life he deserves, Vishalakshi has started a fundraiser on ImpactGuru and is reliant on receiving donations from kind strangers like you to help change Kishore's life.
You too can join this mother's fight to save her only family, her son from the cages of this deadly disease. Your support can give Kishore's dream a new flight and ensure this disease doesn't take one more child away from her.
