SSVM Transforming India Conclave with a G.O.A.T guest list

The 3rd edition of the 3-day Transforming India Conclave 2024 organised by SSVM Institutions at SSVM World School, Coimbatore from Sep 1st to 3rd had G.O.A.T. (Greatest Of All Times) list of speakers which included famous Indian Astronaut Rakesh Sharma, Journalist Palki Sharma and Dr.Shashi Tharoor. The theme of the Conclave was 'Resilient Today, Sustainable Tomorrow'.

In his inaugural address at the Conclave, Indian Astronaut and former Indian Air Force Officer, Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma (Retd) said, "Space exploration is more than a scientific endeavor; it is a testament to our relentless pursuit of knowledge and our collective aspiration to elevate humanity."

Scientific Optimism: The Chief Guest was joined by Dr.Srimathy Kesan, Founder and CEO of Space Kidz India in a discussion called, 'Beyond Earth: Navigating the Cosmos and Inspiring a Nation's Future'. The conversation offered insights on space exploration and the role of space missions in driving India's growth.

Educational excellence: Dr.Manimekalai Mohan, Founder & Managing Trustee of SSVM group of institutions, in her address accentuated the 2024 theme of the Conclave: Resilient Today, Sustainable Tomorrow. Mentioning the 25+ glorious years of educational excellence of SSVM, she elaborated on the institution's focus on helping students explore ways to build sustainable futures for themselves.

Narratives that ignite change: Indian Journalist and News Anchor Ms.Palki Sharma spoke about the value of authenticity in storytelling and the need for narratives that can 'inspire, provoke thought, and ignite change in a world desperate for clarity and purpose'.

Man ki baat: Visually challenged entrepreneur Mr.Srikant Bolla, Founder Chairman of Bollant industries touched hearts by pointing out the difference between Vision and Sight. The entrepreneur who was turned down by the IITs and had gone on to apply and be accepted by the MIT, named former President APJ Abdul Kalaam as his role model.

Studentpreneur Awards 2024 with cash awards up to 1 Lakh were given to students in recognition of student innovation and entrepreneurial spirit. Inspirational Guru Awards 2024 were instituted to honour educators identified 25 exceptional teachers from across the country for their contribution to education and their invaluable role in nurturing and empowering young minds.

The valedictory Chief Guest Dr.Shashi Tharoor, Hon'ble Member of Parliament, Author and Former Diplomat launched his book 'A Wonderland of Words: Around the Word in 101 Essays' virtually on the last day of the Conclave. Dr.Tharoor said, "In the end, resilient nations are those that are not only materially prosperous but intellectually vibrant, morally grounded, and deeply conscious of their place in the world." The conference which offered several new perspectives had lot of take aways for various stake holders.
