PRIDE, GRATITUDE, EMOTIONS: Heroes And Families Treated To Special Moments

The atmosphere at Lexicon MILE (Management Institute of Leadership and Excellence), Wagholi, on Wednesday was filled with pride, gratitude and emotions as Pune Times Mirror's Big Salute - Honouring Heroes in Khaki, Season 5, celebrated the relentless service of police personnel who dedicate their lives to safeguarding society.

The event brought together police personnel, their families and dignitaries. The men and women in uniform whose efforts often go unnoticed despite the immense responsibility they shoulder every day were honoured at the event.

The presence of Maharashtra Governor Jishnu Dev Varma as the Guest of Honour added prestige to the occasion, while the Lexicon Group family extended warm congratulations to all awardees.

What made the evening truly special was not just the recognition bestowed upon the police personnel, but the emotions reflected in the faces of their loved ones.

As the names of award-winning police personnel were announced, family members watched with pride and admiration. The sparkle in their eyes spoke volumes about the sacrifices made by their families, who stand firmly behind them through long working hours, emergencies and countless challenges.

A woman was visibly happy and proud as she watched her daughter-in-law receive recognition for her service. Elsewhere, a young child enthusiastically clapped as his father walked up to accept the award, creating a heartwarming reminder that every police personnel's achievement is shared by the family that supports them.

The awardees themselves acknowledged that the honour belonged not only to them but also to their teams and families.

Constable Rahul Hinge, who is also sports in-charge at the Police Headquarters in Shivaji Nagar, said, "Recognition would inspire him and his colleagues to continue striving for excellence in public service and work even harder to ensure the safety and well-being of citizens."

Assistant Police Inspector Ravindra Godse of Kharadi Police Station said, "I am very happy to receive this award. I came with my family. Ever since I have received this certificate my daughter is not giving it to anyone. She is reading my name multiple times and getting happy. I thank Pune Times Mirror for giving this award."

Ratan Rathod, head clerk, Pune police commissionerate, said, "Such recognition inspires us to work harder. I am happy to achieve these awards. My colleagues are also very happy."

The evening concluded with a renewed sense of purpose among the awardees.

Encouraged by society's appreciation and their families' pride, officers pledged to continue raising policing standards, delivering better performance and remaining steadfast in their mission to keep citizens safe.
