Parul University Elevates Global Learning with Successful International Staff Teaching & Training Week 2023
India, 27th November 2023: Parul University, with an unwavering commitment to fortifying and empowering its students through exposure to international education, proudly executed The International Staff Teaching & Training Week 2023 program. This distinguished initiative seamlessly brought together a global consortium of representatives, fostering a unique platform for the exchange of knowledge and expertise across various faculties.
The primary objective of the program was to endow students with a competitive edge, offering them an invaluable opportunity to engage with five esteemed academicians from Lithuania, Malaysia, and France. This transformative endeavor not only aimed to augment cooperation with international institutions but also sought to share diverse experiences in internationalization, facilitate meaningful networking, and establish novel partnerships.

Ms. Ausra Turcinskaite Balciuniene, Vice Dean of Vilniaus University of Applied Sciences, showcased her extensive experience in the field of Psychology through a workshop titled "Creative Thinking: Methods, Tools, and Applications to CSR." This thought-provoking session, attended by over 400 students, delved into applied creativity, offering insights into CSR and demonstrating the impact of unstructured creativity on problem-solving processes. Ms. Balciuniene further conducted a masterclass on creative thinking methods and techniques, providing a theoretical perspective to enrich the students' understanding.
Dr. Eugenija Strazdiene, a distinguished Professor at Vilnius University of Applied Science and the owner of the renowned clothing company "Lelija," shared her hands-on experience during the International Week. Her interaction with students from the Faculty of Design delved into the intricacies of Indian art and craft forms, offering valuable insights into the investigation and evaluation of textile products' biaxial deformation processes. This immersive exposure allowed students to gain profound insights into the world of design and a deeper understanding of Indian design and art culture.

Ms. Flora Anak Intak, Principal Assistant Director of Universiti Malaysia Sarawak, brought over two decades of ICT expertise to her session. Addressing staff and Computer Science students from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, she provided valuable insights into UNIMAS's home-grown RAPID development tools and REKA, sparking innovation and interest among the audience. Her extensive discussion on various aspects of research, advancements, and career prospects in ICT left an indelible mark on the aspiring young minds.
Mr. Azahar Hussain, a senior lecturer at a Malaysian government university in Sarawak, engaged with over 300 students from the Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Management Studies. With three decades of experience at UNIMAS, he shared profound insights into consumer behavior and marketing strategies, shedding light on his ongoing research in touristology.
A noteworthy session was conducted by Ms. Vidya Suresh, Head of the South East Asia Office of ESIGELEC, a premier graduate school of engineering in France and a partner institution of Parul University. Recognized with the French Honor of Knight of the Order of the Academic Palms, Ms. Suresh interacted with nearly 200 students from the Faculty of Engineering, enlightening them about semester exchange and study abroad programs in France. Her session elucidated the details of the 3.5+1.5 years study abroad program, offering students a pathway to elevate their academic careers and immerse themselves in the world of technology and engineering.

Beyond the academic sphere, the program provided participants with a firsthand experience of India's sights, sounds, and rich cultural traditions. The immersive agenda included interactive games, presentations, workshops, meetings, department visits, and various cultural activities, fostering a holistic understanding of internationalization best practices.
In essence, The International Staff Teaching & Training Week 2023 at Parul University transcended conventional boundaries, providing a dynamic platform for global collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the holistic development of students in an increasingly interconnected world.
