Not Just Coding: How Chetu is Building a Culture of Tech Empowerment in India
In India's booming technology sector, success is often measured by client wins, software innovations, or global reach. But Chetu, a Noida based software solutions provider, has carved out a different legacy - one rooted in human potential.
Having just celebrated its 25th anniversary on April 1st, 2025, Chetu's legacy is now defined not only by its global client footprint but also by its trailblazing work in skilling and empowering technical talent across India.

At a time when many firms chase after pre-trained professionals, Chetu is building its own workforce from the ground up, one skilled graduate at a time.
A Quiet Crisis in Talent Readiness
India graduates over a million engineers each year, but the percentage of job-ready talent remains worryingly low. Especially in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, graduates often lack real-world skills and access to industry exposure.
Chetu recognized this issue not as a limitation, but as an opportunity to empower.
Rather than filtering for a narrow set of credentials, the company chose to invest in potential. This vision gave birth to the Chetu's Training and Development Centre - a structured, hands-on learning ecosystem that is transforming how future technologists are prepared for the real world.
The Chetu Skill Centre: Where Careers Take Shape
Launched with the mission of making industry training accessible and effective, the Chetu Skill Centre is more than a classroom - it's a live development environment.
Over several weeks, technical graduates are trained in:
- Full-stack development
- Mobile and web application architecture
- Cloud and DevOps tools
- Quality assurance and testing
- Software project management and agile workflows
All of this happens under the mentorship of experienced engineers, allowing learners to work on real-time problem-solving and software design.
What's more remarkable? This training is completely free. And most notably - hundreds of these trainees are directly hired into full-time roles at Chetu.
Real Stories, Real Impact
The impact of this initiative is deeply personal.
Charu Verma, came to the Skill Centre with basic coding knowledge but no professional experience. After completing the program, she now works as a Team lead at Chetu.
Rishabh Kumar, who once considered leaving tech due to lack of opportunity, now handling a team of software developers as a Team Lead at Chetu.
"As the Director of HR at Chetu, I'm proud that our Skill Centre is creating valuable opportunities for young graduates, equipping them with real-world skills and a strong foundation to launch successful careers in technology." said Saurabh Pawar, Director of Human Resources at Chetu.
For them- and hundreds of others - Chetu didn't just offer a job. It offered a future.
Building Culture, Not Just a Workforce
Chetu's success with its skill centre isn't just about numbers - it's about nurturing a culture of learning and leadership.
Every graduate who joins the company is already embedded in Chetu's work ethic, engineering standards, and collaborative rhythm. This results in high-performing teams with low attrition and deep internal trust.
The Training and development Centre has also changed the company's own leadership dynamic. Managers act as mentors. Engineers are encouraged to coach. Everyone contributes to a growing ecosystem of knowledge-sharing and upskilling.
Scaling Nationwide
With rising demand and interest from across India, Chetu has expanded its intake - inviting applications from across states including Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Odisha, and beyond. Its vision: to become one of India's most inclusive and scalable tech career pipelines, giving graduates from every corner a path into the IT economy.
This is not a CSR initiative or a stop-gap solution. It's a strategic investment in India's most important resource - its youth.
25 Years of Legacy - and a New Chapter
On April 1st, 2025, Chetu proudly completed 25 years of innovation, growth, and global delivery. But the company's leadership is clear - the next 25 years will be defined not just by what Chetu builds, but who it builds with.
The Skill Centre is now central to that mission. With plans to introduce specialization tracks in cybersecurity, data analytics, and enterprise architecture, Chetu aims to continue evolving with the future of tech - while ensuring India's talent evolves with it.
A Playbook for India's Tech Future
Chetu's model is a compelling answer to one of India's biggest tech challenges. Instead of competing in saturated talent pools or outsourcing capability-building, the company is demonstrating what's possible when firms invest in the talent they want to see.
By doing so, Chetu has not only empowered hundreds of graduates - it has laid the foundation for a sustainable, scalable, and human-centric approach to growth.
As India enters a new digital era, stories like Chetu's remind us: real transformation isn't measured just in lines of code, but in the lives changed behind the screen.
