How NHA's 100 Microsites Project Is Changing Life For Indian Citizens

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], August 23: In 2021, India launched the under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme with a simple goal to create a unified digital platform that brings patients, healthcare providers like doctors, hospitals and labs as well as key stakeholders like insurance companies and the government together. The reason to launch the initiative was to reduce costs, improve transparency, accessibility and make the universal healthcare dream come true.

In fact, over the last three years, the implementation of ABDM has seen remarkable progress with more than 46 crore Ayushman Bharat Health Accounts created, 3.2 Lakh health facilities registered and over 4.5 Lakh health professionals registered under the initiative. Much of this growth is attributed to various Central and State Government initiatives like PM-JAY (Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana), CoWin and the Fast-Track OPD project in government hospitals.

The National Health Authority (NHA) has taken ABDM a step further with the 100 Microsites Project that focuses on private healthcare providers like clinics, labs & pharmacies in various cities. Its mission is to raise awareness about ABDM, show how it benefits patients and healthcare providers and encourage these facilities to use ABDM-compliant software.
