Entrepreneur Shyam Narayan Launches Start-Up To Help Differently Abled

Shyam Narayan is an entrepreneur, social activist and the founder of Qrishn. Shyam is a patient of a rare genetic bleeding disorder called Hemophilia-A. He also faced anaphylaxis attacks and his knees were affected with valgus deformity due to prolonged severe bleedings. He came to know that a huge number of people are struggling with similar problems all over the world. And to find and build an effective solution, entrepreneur Shyam Narayan founded Qrishn. Business Outreach enlisted Shyam Narayan in their 30 under 30 innovative entrepreneurs list for his efforts and dedication to bring a positive impact in people's lives.

Looking at the data from the Census of India 2011, it is said that nearly 21 million people in India are affected by some kind of disability. Significant change can be seen in the latest data when updated. About 57% of people with disabilities remain illiterate, and 8% of patients with disabilities are able to complete basic education. Approx. 36% of people with disabilities are assumed to be able to earn money on their own. Insufficiency of appropriate infrastructure, facilities and PwD-oriented education structure could be some of the various reasons that cause such issues. Disability patients tend to live a life with so many compromises due to their condition. This clearly shows that education and employability of disabilities patients is a tough challenge.

Qrishn is a bootstrapped start-up that aims to provide offline and online skill development training to people with rare disabilities and helps them enhance their skills, employability, and become financially self-dependent. The training programmes are designed and built in a particular structure to cater to people with disabilities. It helps them learn various skills without having to face troublesome physical activities. Qrishn is continuously teaming up with NGOs, societies, and individuals to reach out to people with disabilities throughout the country.

Qrishn is looking forward to launching more projects in the future. The founder says, Qrishnis open to ideas and provides encouragement and necessary support to build problem-solving innovations.

ShyamNarayan believes that his efforts will have a positive impact by helping that part of the society which often gets overlooked.
