As Paramvir explained the hardships of people he said, "The common man takes the government to be responsible. They say that there was only one government that held most of the ministries and posts and was highly corrupt. Also, the pandemic has adversely affected our already low economy."

Emergency and Crisis in Sri Lanka: Why Paramvir Singh Beniwal recommends visiting Sri Lanka ?

On reaching Sri Lanka, Paramvir took a taxi from the airport, and as soon as he moved out, all he saw was a kilometers-long line of people waiting and sleeping in their cars. While exploring the country Paramvir realized that even the hardships did not affect the hospitality and goodness of the people and they were very polite and helpful. As per Paramvir, "Not even a single person tried to scam me and get money. The people were very friendly and welcoming for any tourist." Also, the people were not willing to leave their country no matter how hard the situation was.

Paramvir while expressing his visit to different places in Sri Lanka, explained how the circumstances were improving but still, there were several issues. Like constant electricity cuts resulted in empty shopping malls and the downfall of businesses while inflation has resulted in very high prices of commodities with weakness creeping into their currency. Adding to this the issues of transport is of prime importance as the frequency of both government and private vehicles has gone down due to acute shortage of fuel supplies.

However, even while going through the most difficult days of their lives, the people of Sri Lanka make no compromise with health and hygiene. The country is highly clean and hygienic.

Along with this, the trains are dirt free and go through beautiful routes with breathtaking scenery. Passenger Paramvir mostly stayed in Colombo which is a developed city in Sri Lanka and his only train travel was there. He expresses the beauty of the place which he witnessed while traveling in the train which ran along the sea. Most other trains go through jungles and greener views giving a treat to the eyes of the people.

To summarize the trip, Paramvir says, "Sri Lanks is going through the worst days any citizen can imagine. Political and economic instability, currency crisis, constant power cuts, drowning economy, and paper crisis are some very major issues topping the social and psychological downfall of people in this time." He further adds, "What Sri Lanka needs today is tourism to boost its economy. The businessmen are still optimistic and friendly."

Passenger Paramvir who planned a visit for 4 days extended his tickets and stayed for over a week as Sri Lanka turned out to be a beautiful and happy place even after such crises. Paramvir recommends Sri Lanka as a tourist destination for Indians as it is affordable and even safe to travel to.
