Cybersecurity expert Ritik Davda’s important tips on protecting data over the online ecosystem
The last two years have been a challenging phase for individuals and businesses. The turbulences one faced during the pandemic cannot be justified, but we need to laud the revolutionary changes that have shaped the digital ecosystem. When much of the activities and operations in the business came to a standstill, it was the technological power that stood strong in these harsh times. As much as the internet advanced, so did the rise of cybersecurity threats. To make everyone informed about the malicious activities, cybersecurity expert Ritik Davda jots down some tips to stay protected on the internet.

Based in Gujarat, Davda was always inclined towards learning computers and the latest technology in the IT field. For the same, he started learning the fundamentals of IT and repaired electronic gadgets in his neighbourhood. The idea to get into the field of cybersecurity arose when he attended a workshop on ethical hacking. Since then, Ritik began to provide online security services to celebrities as their social media pages are always at a risk of being hacked.
In the pre-Covid era, Davda kickstarted his journey, and amidst the pandemic, he has aced his skills by providing cybersecurity services to many film personalities, public figures, content creators, SMEs, businesses and individuals. With the rise of online transactions in the digital space, Ritik has been relentlessly working towards providing a safe and secured environment in the online ecosystem.
Sharing some useful tips for students, employees and businesses; the cybersecurity expert states that one should not click any link without thinking. "The unfamiliar link you press can cause harm in different ways like vulnerability to your personal data and also a big hole in your pocket", says Davda.
More so, he suggests that pop-up emails from suspicious individuals should be ignored as one might fall prey to phishing activities by clicking on pop-up ads.
On the other hand, the most common practice Ritik says to avoid online threats is to change passwords regularly and use two-factor authentication as the approach will have two levels of security mechanisms. Furthermore, with an upward trend in AI, ML, cloud ad mobility, Ritik believes that cloud platforms need to be protected as the security concerns have increased ever since businesses have enabled working remotely after the pandemic. Not just this, Ritik Davda even emphasizes the need for keeping up with the updates. For instance, if there are any safety bugs, there might be new software fixes. "It is of utmost importance of keeping the system up to date to stay away from the risk of online viruses. Be extra cautious and invest in tools like anti-virus software to safeguard your information", adds Ritik. To counterattack the cyber threats on a large scale, Ritik earlier this year welcomed his startup 'XynityInfoSolution' which is helping people and businesses stay away from pesky hackers and cyber attackers.
