Come October, India might see the launch of Redmi Pad

New Delhi, Sep 26: This festive season, the markets are abuzz with speculations that Redmi Pad will soon be introduced in India. Yes, if the latest reports are anything to go by, the launch is nearer than expected as it is likely to be out in the first week of October.

Tipster Mukul Sharma has shared the information about Redmi's new launch.

"[Exclusive] Redmi Pad is indeed coming to India and, in all likelihood, it will launch in India as early as October 1st week. I suggest you to wait if you are planning on buying a budget tablet. More details incoming 😉 Feel free to retweet. #Redmi #RedmiPad, [sic]" he tweeted.

However, he did not provide further information about the launch. The company would not have got a better time to launch than this as Navaratri and Diwali are the two periods where sales of mobile, usually, increase manifold.

It has to be noted that the manufacturer has not issued a statement on the issue, yet.

Specification

As per the earlier information, Redmi Pad comes with an 11-inch LCD panel with a 2K resolution. It is backed by brand-new MediaTek chip with the model number MT8781. It is expected to function like Helio G99 SoC.

It is also coming up with 7,800mAh battery which supports 22.5W fast charging. Redmi Pad will have two variants - 3GB RAM + 64GB storage and the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage.

In addition to it, Redmi Pad is likely to run on Android 12 OS based MIUI 3 custom skin out of the box.

The product will hit the Indian markets in three colours - Graphite Grey, Moonlight Silver, and Mint Green.
