BJP Youth Leader SG Suryah gets Doctorate in Corporate Law
SG Suryah, the Tamil Nadu BJP State Secretary, has been conferred with a doctorate in corporate laws by Vels University in Chennai. His doctoral thesis focused on corporate social responsibility practices and its impact in Indian companies after the advent of new Companies Act 2013. Coming from a modest background, Suryah completed his Bachelor's in Business Administration from renown PSG College of Arts and Science in Coimbatore, where he excelled as the College's Student Union Chairman, receiving the Best Outgoing Student Award.
Later, he pursued a degree in law from the India's prestigious ILS Law School in Pune, Maharashtra, while actively engaging in politics and contributing to Narendra Modi's Digital Campaigns Team for the 2012 Gujarat Assembly Elections. Suryah also completed an MBA through distance learning and is a practicing company secretary, having completed his ACS qualification.

Enrolling for his PhD at Vels University in 2019, Suryah's journey through education was greatly influenced by his mother and maternal grandfather, who instilled the value of education and supported him throughout. He expressed gratitude to his Guide Professor Ashok Kumar Katta and his friend Professor Veera Tirunavukarasu for their encouragement during his doctoral studies.

As the youngest State Secretary of BJP Tamil Nadu, Suryah has been an active participant in regional and national television debates, advocating for the BJP and critiquing the DMK. He has been recognized as an emerging young political leader and has been part of international exchange programs to Israel and South Korea. Suryah is also an accomplished author with several critically acclaimed and bestselling books to his credit, including translations of works by Veer Savarkar and Yogi Adityanath to Tamil, among others.
