Bharat Prajapat enlightens on his journey from a photographer to a cinematographer

The best part about professionals working in the creative industry is that they can mould themselves.

To keep it simple, creative professionals have the liberty to learn new things and take up new roles. Utilising creativity to learn newer things, Bharat Prajapat has made a seamless transition from being a photographer to a cinematographer.

With photographers and cinematographers having a lot in common, Bharat had a clear vision from the onset of his career - to capture moments that have a story to tell. Mastering his photography skills, he worked as a freelance fashion photographer in 2011. However, in 2014, his inclination toward wedding photography saw him dive deep as a wedding photographer.

Choosing wedding photography as the niche was perhaps Bharat's best decision. After a thorough experience shooting pre-wedding and wedding portfolios, he started his company 'Clickography'. It is a one-stop destination for couples wanting to document and capture the best memories of their big day.

It was during this time that the photographer realised the need for learning cinematography. He says, "I had established 'Clickography' as a brand. But I did not want to limit it to only photography. I assisted a lot of videographers and learnt the fundamentals of videography and video editing. Along with it, social media played a vital role as I learnt a lot about cinematography through online tutorials."

It was a turning point for Bharat Prajapat that saw 'Clickography' become one of the most promising film companies in the country. So far, 'Clickography' has covered different weddings, events and shows in India and other parts of the world. This year has been a fruitful year for Bharat's team as they covered two international weddings in Dubai and Thailand.

Besides this, 'Clickography' had collaborated with Pune's reputed Kalavant Dhol Tasha Pathak for Ganesh Chaturthi. As the company has set its foothold as one of the established names in the industry, Bharat Prajapat has been conducting an array of photography, cinematography and video editing workshops for aspiring creative professionals. Moreover, as Bharat brings innovation in his works, he has been educating newbies about photography and videography.
