Bomb Scare in Delhi: St Thomas, Vasant Valley, and 3 More Schools Receive Email Threats
Initially it was reported that two schools in Delhi's Dwarka area, St. Thomas School and Vasant Valley School, were evacuated on 16 July after receiving bomb threats via email. The Delhi Fire Department confirmed the evacuation and stated that no suspicious items were found during their search. Authorities have initiated an investigation into these threats.

UPDATE:
As per the latest update, five schools in Delhi reportedly received bomb threats via email. The schools are located in Dwarka, Vasant Kunj, Hauz Khas, Paschim Vihar, and Lodi Estate. Officials have not publicly named all affected institutions but confirmed evacuation and search protocols were followed.
On Tuesday, St Stephen's College and St Thomas School also received similar threats through email. Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Raja Banthia mentioned that St Stephen's College was alerted about the threat at 7:15 am. The email claimed that four IEDs and two RDX bombs were planted on the premises and in the library, set to detonate by 2 pm.
Delhi Schools Face Repeated Bomb Threats
The Maurice Nagar Police Station team, along with other agencies, promptly arrived at St Stephen's College. They cordoned off the area and conducted a thorough search but found nothing suspicious. The Delhi Fire Services reported receiving a call about the threat at 8:50 am for St Stephen's College and at 8:01 am for St Thomas School.
On Monday, three schools in Delhi also faced bomb threats via email. These included CRPF schools in Sector 16, Dwarka, Prashant Vihar, and Navy Children School in Chanakyapuri. Authorities later declared these threats as hoaxes after conducting searches.
Golden Temple Receives Consecutive Bomb Threats
The Golden Temple in Amritsar was threatened with a bomb on Tuesday for the second consecutive day. A dog squad was deployed to conduct security checks at this sacred Sikh site. The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) filed a police complaint regarding these threats.
The first threat to the Golden Temple occurred on Monday, prompting immediate security measures. Despite these alerts, no suspicious items were discovered during the checks conducted by authorities.
This marks the third consecutive day of educational institutions in Delhi facing bomb threats. Officials continue to investigate these incidents to ensure safety and prevent further disruptions.
