Tejasvi Surya Makes First Parliament Appearance With Wife Sivasri Skandaprasad

Tejasvi Surya tied the knot with Carnatic singer Sivasri Skandaprasad on March 6 in an intimate ceremony that remained largely private. The wedding, attended by close family members and select political associates, marked a new chapter in the life of the two-time parliamentarian.

Several senior BJP leaders, including the party's Karnataka state president B Y Vijayendra, Union ministers V Somanna and Arjun Ram Meghwal, along with BJP MPs and MLAs, were present at the ceremony to bless the couple.

Following the wedding, the 34-year-old MP took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the news, writing, "With the blessings of Gurus, elders, and well-wishers, married @ArtSivasri today as per Vedic traditions. We seek your blessings and wishes as we start this journey together!"

Sivasri Skandaprasad is a renowned Carnatic musician and Bharatanatyam dancer, having performed on prestigious platforms such as Brahma Gana Sabha and Kartik Fine Arts, as well as in international venues in Denmark and South Korea.

She holds a degree in bioengineering from SASTRA University and a master's in Bharatanatyam from the University of Madras. Additionally, she has studied Sanskrit and earned a diploma in Ayurvedic cosmetology.
