Tehelka: Goa Police questions Tarun Tejpal's daughter
Crime branch officials said the accused journalist's elder daughter Tiya was quizzed for over two hours at the crime branch office at Dona Paula. The latter was quoted by the victim in the email which she had sent to the magazine's former managing editor Shoma Chaudhury, who resigned after a massive controversy broke out over the episode. Tejpal and the victim had also resigned.
Tiya was reportedly informed by the victim about the incident
Tiya was reportedly informed by the victim about the incident that allegedly took place inside the elevator of a hotel in Goa on November 7 and 8 during an event organised by the magazine.
Chaudhury would depose before the magistrate on Saturday.
Tejpal is currently in police custody, which would expire on Saturday. Crime branch officials will seek an extension of Tejpal's custody by another eight days.
The 50-year-old journalist was arrested in Goa four days ago and was charged with rape of his colleague.
