during the THiNK 2013 event in Goa earlier this month.

Singh, in what has been the Centre's first major move by the Centre, said the Union home ministry has sought all details of the case from the Goa government and termed the case as "extremely serious."

Earlier, the Centre had said that it would make a reaction on the matter only after going into the details.

On Friday, Goa police booked Tejpal on charges of rape and outraging the modesty of a woman and a police team from Goa, accompanied by Delhi officers reached Tejpal's residence later on Friday.
