Sushilkumar Shinde introduces T-bill in Rajya Sabha amid chaos
Congress members of the House formed a ring around Shinde as Telugu Desam Party and Trinamool Congress MPs tried to stop him from tabling the bill. Leader of Opposition Arun Jaitley opposed the bill saying it was constitutionally not valid.

Earlier reports said that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh would intervene in the issue to assure the BJP over the latter's concerns over the financial package to be offered to Seemandhra region after the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
Reports said the BJP is likely to make amendments in the bill after the government and the Opposition worked out an agreement on the passage of the bill.
The Lok Sabha was adjourned following uproar over the Tamil Nadu governmnent's decision to release convicts in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case.
