South Delhi Lok Sabha Election Results 2024 Live and Latest News: South Delhi Parliamentary constituency, established in 1966 as constituency number 7, boasts a population of 2,733,752 according to the 2011 census, making it one of Delhi's most densely populated regions.
Following the 2008 directives of the Delimitation Commission, it now encompasses 10 legislative assembly constituencies: Bijwasan, Deoli, Kalkaji, Palam, Ambedkar Nagar, Tughlakabad, Mehrauli, Sangam Vihar, Badarpur, and Chhatarpur.

Notable landmarks include Hauz Khas with its Deer Park and Rose Garden, Ashok Wildlife Sanctuary, and iconic markets like Sarojini Nagar, Lajpat Nagar, and Greater Kailash.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP's Ramesh Bidhuri clinched victory, defeating AAP's Raghav Chadha by a margin of 3,67,043 votes. Bidhuri secured 6,87,014 votes, while Chadha received 3,19,971 votes.
Similarly, in 2014, Bidhuri emerged triumphant against AAP's Colonel Devinder Sehrawat, securing 4,97,980 votes compared to Sehrawat's 3,90,980 votes.
Congress's Ramesh Kumar came third with 1,25,213 votes. In the 2009 elections, Bidhuri faced off against Congress's Ramesh Kumar, ultimately losing by a margin of 93,219 votes, with Kumar securing 3,60,278 votes to Bidhuri's 2,67,059 votes.
