Sheila Dikshit rubbishes corruption charges, asks BJP for proof

New Delhi, Oct 8: BJP and Congress have locked horns with each other with one party blaming the other on the basis of corruption.

A day after Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit challenged the oppostion to come up with proof of corruption in her government, the BJP on Sunday said that it will set up an accountability commission.

The BJP said that if it comes to power in the upcoming assembly elections, the commission will probe various alleged scams during Dikshit's tenure as the CM.

Delhi BJP Chief Vijay Goel said that the accountability commission will ensure that all those, during the Congress regime, who have looted taxpayers' money will be brought to the book.

"No one will be spared if they have indulged in any kind of corruption," he said.

With the capital gearing up for the assembly elections, the BJP slammed Dikshit for rejecting serious charges of graft and said that all those who were involved in corruption will be booked if the party came to power.

Goel also said that it was shocking to see Dikshit blatantly asking for proof of corruption.

Earlier Dikshit had dismissed corruption allegations made by the BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and had challenegd them to come up with proof or to stop making such allegations.

Dikshit said that nobody becomes corrupt if you keep repeating the charges. She then challenegd them to come up with proof of graft and then promised that action will be taken.
