SC issues non-bailable warrant against Sahara chief Subrata Roy

New Delhi, Feb 26: The Supreme Court on Wednesday issued a non-bailable warrant against Sahara group chief Subrata Roy for failing to appear before it in person as directed by the court at its last hearing.

The SC ordered the police to arrest Roy and produce him before the court on March 4.

The SC had rejected Roy's request exempting him from a personal appearance citing his 95-year-old Mother's health. The SC court said that the arms of this court were very long.

Roy has been asked to appear before the SC as he failed to refund Rs 20,000 crore of investors money.
