New Delhi, Feb 21: Rashtriya Janta Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad gave an interview to Times Now Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami on Friday evening. It was Prasad's first exclusive interview since he came out of the jail on December 13 in connection to a 16-year-old fodder scam.

TN: Are a symbol of corruption?

Lalu: I am innocent. I am a victim of conspiracy. People made fun of me, which even my ancestors had faced.

TN: You had said that the Congress was also responsible for the demolition of the Babri Masjid.

Lalu: All this is false. All is this propaganda by the communal forces.

Lalu now asks Arnab Goswami: "Why are you lenient on Narendra Modi? Why were you grilling Rahul Gandhi on the same question while he was trying to make some point."

TN: Rahul Gandhi described the ordinance "rubbish" and said it was made for political compromise.

Lalu: I don't want to comment on Rahul Gandhi.

TN: Are you angry with Rahul Gandhi for he opposed the ordinance to protect the convicted leaders? Th ordinance was aimed at protecting you from the coming verdict against you, isn't it?

Lalu: I wasn't part of the meeting where the decision on the ordinance was taken. It is also not right to say that the Congress tried to defend me with the ordinance.

TN: Do you think the charges against corruption will affect you?

Lalu: No, these are all negative people criticising. The Aam Aadmi Party is a party of negative people.

TN: Did you use your political clout to slow the investigation against you?

Lalu: No, no. It is not right.

TN: But you have been disqualified as an MP

Lalu: My political career is far from over.

TN: After the fodder scam, you said that "I realised that I can not become the PM but can make PM."

Lalu: That is not true. It is false and concocted. I can still become the PM.

TN: Are you angry or upset for not being able to become the prime minister?

Lalu: I am neither angry nor upset. I am determined.

Times Now (TN): Why were you quiet for two months?

Lalu: No, no I was busy in my work. It is better to talk less and work more.
